About PDX ProFinder

Our Mission

PDX ProFinder started because finding a trustworthy plumber or HVAC contractor in Portland is harder than it should be. Search results are full of paid placements, and review sites bury the information you actually need — the rating, the service area, the phone number. We built a simpler directory: real Portland-area businesses with their public Google ratings, review counts, and direct contact details in one place, so you can compare options and call the right contractor in minutes instead of hours. Every listing links straight to the contractor — there's no middleman, no lead reselling, and using the directory is free.

How We Choose Contractors

We don't list everyone. Businesses are included when they meet the criteria below:

• Established Oregon businesses✓

Every listing is a real, operating plumbing or HVAC company in the Portland area with a public business profile and service address.

• Top-rated on Google✓

We feature businesses with strong Google ratings — most of our listings sit at 4.8 stars or higher, based on tens of thousands of real customer reviews.

• Licensed work only✓

Oregon requires a CCB license for contracted plumbing and HVAC work. We always recommend verifying a contractor's license on the Oregon CCB website before you hire.

• Verified contact details✓

Phone numbers, addresses and websites come from each business's public listings, so you can reach the contractor directly.

One honest note: we compile public information and don't inspect job sites or verify licenses ourselves — so always check a contractor's Oregon CCB license before hiring. It takes about a minute.

Our Team

PDX ProFinder is run by Cooper Brunner, a Portland local who built the directory after his own run-ins with hard-to-compare contractor quotes and conflicting reviews. The site is small and independent — one person maintaining the listings, the cost guides, and the answers to your questions. If something on a listing is wrong or out of date, email cooperbrunnerfitness@gmail.com and it gets fixed.

Our Standards

• Who gets listed: real Portland-area plumbing and HVAC businesses with a public profile, a service address, and strong Google ratings. Businesses with overwhelmingly negative reviews aren't included.
• How often we update: ratings, review counts and contact details are refreshed as businesses change, and the directory is reviewed regularly. Spot something stale? Tell us and we'll correct it.
• Accuracy commitment: every rating and review count shown is the real public Google figure — never inflated. Prices in our guides come only from published cost sources, which we link to.
